The Principal at Jacob Schmidt Associates, is Fred Wucherpfennig. Fred grew up on a farm and learned to work hard at an early age. He also learned that helping others is one of the truly important things in life. His college education was in Mechanical Engineering followed by graduate work on a MBA. Additionally, he has extensive training in product development, quality systems, operational efficiency, sales systems, and technology.
He has extensive design engineering experience with both mechanical and electronic devices, and holds at least a dozen US Patents. He has thousands of hours of stick time on Creo / Pro-E cad software, and has also spent considerable time analyzing cad designs structurally and dynamically. He has extensive experience in design for manufactureability, and in addition to designing products has designed and implemented production lines, assembly lines, and created technical documentation.
Fred has demonstrated sales success in multiple industries, in both B2B and B2C settings. Examples include an 86% increase year over year in orders at a manufacturing company, growing sales 400% over 5 years in a construction company, and being the top-performing salesperson at a retail company.
He has also demonstrated excellence at project management: he has evaluated, selected, and implemented ERP systems, CAD systems, CRM systems, and network systems for multiple organizations; created and implemented product development systems; and streamlined ISO9001 systems and drawing change systems for several organizations. He has personal experience with selecting, implementing and using at least 8 different CRM products. He is an expert at computer technology and has extensive experience leveraging technology to increase productivity and effectiveness. He has significant experience training and coaching for adherence to best in class performance. His experience spans organizations from the Fortune 500 to startups that have yet to make the first sale.
He has a unique combination of excellent technical skills and creativity, and outstanding sales and communication skills which allow him to quickly assess and understand the current situation, and allow him to formulate, propose, sell, and implement solutions to make that situation much better quickly, delivering an excellent value to the client, whether that is a new product, new technology tools, or new approaches to manufacturing.
